Y eso que es un derecho por ley. Si un padre no lleva a su hijo a la escuela o no prueba que educa en el hogar va preso, ahhh pero el Dept que esta siendo por estos niños NADA! Presos deberian ir ellos, todos, por pillos!

Baldwin may be a good bet, I went there when I was younger and my parents taught there. My mom has always described it as having like IB type program before IB was a thing. I know it’s expensive but I would bet they would be the most accommodating. My brother and uncle with kiddos describe it as still really similar in how much they put into students

my autistic sister is having the same issue , i saw that you said they didn’t accept him to some programs because he needs assistance with the bathroom , was that the only reason they didn’t accept him ?? my sister uses the bathroom independently so im wondering if that would open up a lot of her options!

Homeschooling is most likely the best option. My son is autistic and I have to fight for even the slightest bit of help. I hope you find a great one for them 🙌🏽

Soy mamá de un niño del dpto EE y es cuesta arriba pero no imposible. Y no siempre un colegio privado es mejor, yo estuve en uno q es bello y q el dpto pago y fue un calvario. Voy a ti 🫶🏽 tu hijo tiene un derecho q el dpto tiene q cumplir, no te quites tu eres la mejor advocate de tu hijo ❣️✨

Estoy contigo, mi hermana es Sorda y es Autista, después de años de batalla, 13 años de batalla porfin descubrieron que era sorda y autista, la colgaron 2 veces, no le buscaron T1 no hicieron nada, 0 acomodos razonables, me le hicieron bullying, ella se quería matar, la querían matar, Buscamos ayuda en la escuela, se lavaron las manos, la sacamos pa homeschooling pq no ay alternativa ya que tampoco tenemos transporte, los audífonos que ella usan se le están jodiendo otravez son 900 pesos para un remplazo y tambien es en cayey somos de ponce, no tenemos transporte repito, se le dejó saber a DED y al DDF no hacen nada, fuimos a la alcaldía nos dieron pon con un tipo de transporte, el tipo era un un acosador, 3 mujeres en un carro con ese cabron, esto es una batalla diaria, La nena esta depresiva ella quiere ir a la escuela pero no se que mas hacer dios mio
