Kids are mean, yes. But so are adults and sometimes even worse. So give them the foundation and freedom to learn how to navigate various situations and personalities. Teach them to understand when to keep people at arms length, when it’s ok to let people in closer, how to set boundaries, and that it’s ok that those rules could change in any direction at anytime.

Ah yes high school. Where they get involved in the dark arts, insider trading and corporate espionage. My job used to have me in and out of all types of schools. I, 100%, can say that high schoolers are way more chill than middle schoolers. Middle school kids are amped up of the chart. High school kids today are way better.
