If one calls cell phone and it went to voice mail, you would have normally left the message on the cell phone. Why did he not do this, but instead ring home phone to leave message on home phone? He was just trying to say lead the police on a wrong track but instead betray himself.

Has killed the wife before he left on his trip to states away he cut her phone off before he left then when he got to where his destination was, he called her on the home phone not her cell phone but the home phone that’s where you messed up because he should’ve called her cell phone first and if he did call her cell phone, he would’ve left a message or cell phone voicemail as well as the house home the simple fact that he called the house first in the kissing me that he knew that her phone was off because he is the one who turned it off he just forgot if he would’ve called the cell phone a couple times left a couple messages and then called the house phone and left a message after it would not have looked to suspicious. He might’ve gotten away with it but a simple fact that he called the home first and not the cell phone. Let me know that he knew that cell phone was off because he killed her and then cut her cell phone off and then took a complaint two hours away and tried to call her to make it look like he didn’tknow what was going on easy

Doesnt even make sense, the phone was powered off so it went straight to voicemail, and thats why he said i tried calling you but it went straight to voicemail, goofy riddle

It’s all about the time of day. If he’s 2 states away, time zones will differ.

Simple and it’s not easily solved, he called her cell phone and it went to voicemail straight away (phone was dead), hung up and called the home phone and left that voicemail. So there’s no actual answer

I'd assume the just checking in part because most hotels check in at 3 and if you're only 2 states away chance of you being in a 2 hour difference is slim if not impossible ( not clear on all time zones)

theres still a way he can evade arrest. her cellphone might have been on low battery when he made the voicemail and the battery died afterwards proving his story. but if the detective turns on her cellphone and it has a decent amount of charge, it exacerbates his alibi
