@the.nicole.edition: There’s no humbling me. I am exactly who I think I am. My dad raised me to be humble. Don’t be showy. Don’t talk just to be heard. Work hard and let what you accomplish speak for itself. And I respect that because I watched him come from very little and build an incredibly successful life. Two years ago, I moved to a new city and found myself in a market with almost 5,000 Realtors. I realized pretty quickly that staying small wasn’t going to work. I had to put myself out there. Get on camera. Show my personality. Be seen. And yes, sometimes be a little showy. It was uncomfortable. Sometimes it still is. But I knew if I wanted to build a business in a new city and separate myself in a crowded industry, I had to be willing to step outside of what was comfortable for me. And THAT part I absolutely got from my dad. We’ve just done it differently. He taught me to work for what I want.
