Use the link in bio to get a free library showing how to safely offer over 150 foods💚 Here’s 9 first foods I would offer my 6-month-old and why⬇️ 1. Egg- It’s super rich in choline (essential for healthy brains/eyes), fat and protein for growth. It even has a bit of iron and is a top 9 allergen so we want to introduce eggs early and often. 2. Plum-Rich in fiber to get things moving (one unexpected thing parents don’t anticipate when their baby starts solids is that they may get a bit backed up!). 3. Peanuts- Ground or as a thinned peanut butter, the newest allergy recommendations (FARE) are to introduce them at or around 6 months, and to keep them in the diet to help prevent the development of food allergies. 4. Sardines- These are rich in Omega fats for brain and nerve health and are a source of protein and iron as well. The flakey texture is great for new eatesr 5. Salmon- Basically the same as Sardines, just sardines pink sister. We love her too. 6. Banana- But boosted with ground peanuts (because remember how I mentioned peanuts have to be continuously offered??) 7. Avocado- A great source of fat and fiber and minerals. A baby food staple and alway a safe texture when ripe. 8. Broccoli- A good source of fiber and antioxidants, and we love the idea of introducing whole savory foods often to help them get used to it early before any picky phase. 9. Kiwi- A good source of carbohydrates and fiber to help keep things moving. Don’t stress about the skin, it’s quite thin when ripe! I made a safe allergen introduction plan that does day-by-day for ease of mind so you don’t have to think about what and how to offer something-find it all in our app. #blwmeals #startingsolids #firstfoods #babyledweaningideas #babyledweaning
