@_rebeccaalexander_: Progressive vision loss is hard to explain because it’s not always about what I can or can’t see. Sometimes it feels like looking at a photograph that’s been left in the sun too long. The image is still there, but the edges have faded and everything starts to blend together. In Central Park, a path can disappear into the grass. I can see what’s in front of me without being able to clearly distinguish where one thing ends and another begins. That’s where my cane comes in. It gives me information my eyes can’t #disability #lowvision #accessibility #blind #community
