I am struggling to understand how these two were chosen to be ADAs at all. Getting an assistant DA job is supposed to be very competitive in places like the Boston-area. So why were they hired? They both went to lower (if not the lowest) tier law schools in Boston. And they’re experienced. It’s mindboggling that they ever became ADAs. Did they get hired through connections? Is the DA office understaffed? I can’t believe that they were chosen for this case bc they are so terrible at their job.

Catholic Teaching on MurderGrave Matter: Murder qualifies as "grave matter," which is the first requirement for a mortal sin.Full Knowledge and Consent: For a sin to be fully mortal, the person must also commit the act with full knowledge and deliberate consent.Culpability: Severe mental illness, extreme psychological distress, or impaired free will (such as psychosis) can diminish a person's moral culpability before God, though the act itself remains gravely wrong -Google
