One of our math professors has set time aside to organize a class to “refresh Algebra”. He isn’t even getting paid for it, he just wants his students to succeed in Calc 😭

There are seniors graduating high school who cannot read. And yet they are expected to come to college, not only read 100 pages a night of a chapter, but complete 10-20 page essays. Yea this is a severe problem

My sister is a teacher in Texas and her 8th graders can't read or do basic math. Administration still requires teachers to pass them!

As a high school counselor at a top performing school, those kids cheated too. 🤷🏻♀️the parents would go crazy if we called them out on it. So I believe it because the kids cheat all the time

I went back to college and had to transfer to a more challenging university. A majority of young adults are not ready so they use AI. If you're a Millennial or older, please go to college now. It's cake compared to what they expected of us.

Because now a days when you learn something you never use or exercise it meaning you forget it when you need it again we are also no longer exercising the part of are brain that stores memories and small details leaving us to forget the little things

I can believe this observation! With the way high school teachers are forced to teach a certain method and with no child left behind. The calculator can answer any math problems
