It’s a great question, but it goes against what would be normal. Here’s what I mean. You would think that we have the greatest news in the world and that everybody would want to talk about it, but the enemy is everywhere and he is distracting to the point that he will use any means necessary to make us too busy to take time to talk or so focused on our own issues. We have too many things to worry about to think about something else. It’s similar to when we desire to sit down and pray, but the devil will put things in our mind to distract us and do anything but pray. The scripture also teaches that no one can come to the father unless they are drawn to him we can’t even have faith unless that faith comes from the father. It doesn’t mean we are not supposed to share the gospel. It just means that the spirit doesn’t work not us. That person who we speak to is already being worked on by the Holy Spirit if they receive it. Otherwise we’re just sewing seed on hard ground or ground that is being choked out by the cares of the world. For me, I’m always trying to be about Jesus and I try to bring it into a lot of my conversations without it looking ridiculous, but when it comes to witnessing bottom line is we have to pray and ask the Lord can I just share the good news with one person today, Lord? Pray that he will give us the opportunity to share the good news. God knows who is Ready, and we need to be ready to share whenever that opportunity comes up. By far had the most interactions about my faith randomly when I was fully living my life surrendered to God. He brought me to a foreign country and let me live as I wanted, but encouraged me to meet new people. People always asked what I was doing in that country and how I supported my lifestyle. Every single time that opened the door for me to say “honestly, 100% funded by God!” Sometimes people said just a “that’s nice” but most of the time they wanted to know more. One couple even said “oh my goodness! We just prayed today to learn more connection with Jesus.”
