This guy is so sweet, I bought some kids books and he showed that the books had a ‘G’ on the inside cover, to show they belonged to his son Gus. I think of him and Gus every time I read the books now.

My sister, my best friend, and I grew up going to Chris’s bookstore. We’d go every weekend to pick out books and DVDs, and we always looked forward to seeing Chris. He is genuinely the sweetest person, and those little weekend trips are such a special memory from growing up. ❤️

I had the absolute pleasure of sitting with him for an hour just after Covid. I came in on a day down from the city and we just got to talking. Learned about his whole life and I am grateful for the stories and time he shared with me.

I remember going for supper in Lunenburg, and I wanted to swing into the bookstore but didn’t have time. I was THRILLED when I left supper and the store was still open. Chris was so kind! I’ve been dying to get back there.
