National Guard being on the streets works as a crime prevention by itself, where property crime dropped 24-50% (depending on the period) since the deployment. It's obviously not going to be visible in court records. I don't think the national guard is effective considering the cost of deployment either, but misrepresenting their impact is a b*tch move.

I live in DC and I see them around metro stations and some monuments ALL the time EXCEPT: the day the White Nationalists marched on Washington around the Fourth of July. Weird 🤔

went to dc in June, saw how many national gaurd were standing around with guns and rifles all over the city. felt wrong. it was safe yes, but it felt more like a totalitarian dictatorship in DC. plus there people deployed out there for over a year now
