![There’s a luxury boutique hotel in Portland, Oregon that was made for the book lovers and after this, you’re going to want to add it to your itinerary! This is the Heathman Hotel in Downtown Portland and it’s been around since the 1920s in Portland’s historic theater district. Everywhere you turn in this hotel is elegant and although it’s been restored and renovated, they’ve done an excellent job in preserving the historic charm of the building but with modern finishes and amenities. We stayed in a king suite room with a connecting king room and it was truly so spacious and relaxing to have two very comfortable king beds, a living room for lounging and two bathrooms. This is perfect for larger or extended families who are on a trip together. And although we didn’t bring our puppy this time, this hotel is extremely dog friendly with special pet amenities if you want to bring them along also. The Heathman has a delicious on site restaurant called the Tavern. I highly recommend their specialty, the Tavern burger with parm fries. So good! Now can you imagine a speakeasy but with books? On the second floor of the hotel is a stunning library and lounging area with nearly 3,000 books and board games. Logging off and spending time together with analog activities alongside the ambience of dark academia decor truly elevates this hotel experience and I cannot wait to book again.
