@findingmelissa: One thing that I’ve learned is that sometimes the growth that we experience will change the questions you ask about other people. Because you stop wondering whether they deserve another chance and you just learn to start paying attention to what happens to YOU in their presence. Who do you become around them? What parts of yourself start to disappear? What do you begin tolerating, questioning, or explaining away? Discernment is learning to pay attention to those answers too. #Christian #BiblicalWisdom #Discernment #Relationships #Faithbased
“Missing them can still coexist with the wisdom you gained from leaving”. That’s deep.

This is a good word. One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard about giving an apology from one Christian to another was for the repentant person to begin by confessing the sin in his heart that allowed him to offer the other person offense. If an apology doesn’t include the confession of sin, is it evidence of repentance?

I had to learn this the hard way. And they used religion to shame me. This is really good especially for Christians. They need to preach this more.

This was a very interesting video that you made I really like it. I’ve listened to you and a lot of your stuff. This one is definitely on top. Can you make a video about how you’re supposed to deal with coworkers and people that you work with at the working place however the devil is just working so hard and this place people are nasty and negative how it hurt you and how I come to work they just try to forgive and pray for them and move on, but I just can’t get over that. Can you make a video and give us some advice of how we’re supposed to forgive and forget and they keep doing you wrong every day and I’m talking about working at work at the Post Office I’ve been here 33 years. I just can’t wait to get out. It’s a shame cause it consumes a lot of my mind. I don’t even wanna be here no more. I just don’t wanna even get involved or even see these people anymore. That’s a shame because we’re not supposed to be that way. This is my biggest struggle in my whole life, I just wanna not be here and not see them no more. What do I do?

Good. 1 Thessalonians 5v21–22 speaks of discernment. Righteous judgement is for protection not indiscretion. We can still love our neighbours with a fence between us.

This is definitely so true and at times we tend let the other person guilt trip us or blackmail us emotional into walking back to what doesn't align with us anymore or where I lose myself over and over again

As a Christian, I pray to God to help me forgive those who have hurt me, along with a removal prayer.

So true! I have to like who I am when I am around a person. "Do I have to watch what I say?" "Do I have to walk on egg shells?" That's not the freedom that Jesus died for me to have!

Some of us don’t even know what respect is or looks like or feels like. Just guilt, fear and sadness.

Your wisdom on what forgiveness looks like for a Christian, profoundly resonates with me. I’ve been struggling to know how to interact with my ex. I want to be a friend to him, but also he has proven over and over again he will betray me in really painful ways. I’ve been praying to Jesus to guide my actions and behaviors when I have to interact with my him. I want to be aligned with Jesus and his teachings. I really want to change old behaviors that have lead me astray and kept me from fulfilling his will in my life. After watching your video, I feel I have clarity on how to move forward. Thank you, sister 🫶

In relation with what you said about learning from it. We are going through a change with her menopause and I feel confused by it all. But I want to learn about it. She doesn’t know how she feels about being a girlfriend and I feel like we are just best friend. She said she doesn’t want to lose me as a best friend.

Yes totally agree. Well explained with a really wise perspective. We all need to rely on God to give us discernment & ask him to remove the people from our lives because he knows what’s best! 🙏

We are taught to give way more concern about how others feel verses how WE feel. I grew up Catholic and it was ALWAYS about others, which I want to live with compassion but I was never taught to give that same grace to myself.
