Someone finally said it.... Someone i have not spoken to in years chatted me last week and told me she was getting married and I was genuinely happy and told her Beautiful congratulations.. Next thing she said was should I add you? I asked, add me to what? she responded you know naa. in my mind I was like just like that??? Even if you wanted to add me to your asheobi or something is that how to ask?? plus we don't even talk. I just told her NO without feeling guilty.

The gaslighting is too much. It is better for the person to come out plainly and confide in his friends that he doesn't have enough money to finance his wedding. So that they will be aware and try to help genuinely. What I do now is to become a ghost in such groups.

Some go as far as keeping malice with you because u didn't contribute for their committee of friends. Instead of disturbing people why not hold a wedding ur money can afford. If your partner can't accept your wedding budget as a man, you are with the wrong woman.

I deserve another congratulations ajeh..after i gathered group of friends for a brief meeting about our wedding 2015, after the opening prayer i was asked to welcome the congregation and tell them the purpose of meeting. what they all expected to hear is not, i told them i only want their present on that day and to help us attend to our guests that's all , those handling drinks and food and setting up of canopies and the rest and i added who ever want to support me is free but not mandatory. I had 8 men on suite. guess what, no WhatsApp group created and to the glory of God our wedding was successful.
