I’m at 20 days without him. The first 5 I wanted to stop being here. For the first time in my life I wanted to be gone to stop the pain. However, I realized it was in response to the depth of the love I have for him. I knew he would never ever want me to lay down and give up. I knew I have to make him proud of me because he told me for years his favorite thing about me is I always find the good. I see no good in his death but I see all the good in our life.

Please oh please tell me how to do this! My husband committed 6 months ago and I found him. Leaving me forever traumatised and tortured - 4 months married, 2 days after his 30th, 12 years together & 2 young children! I just already need this! I’m baring keeping my head above water!

I have not let myself feel… I’ll do anything to numb that feeling. It’s been 2 years and it hurts like it did the day he died.

That’s great advice. Allow the feeling and emotions to come to surface. Scream, cry wail let it all out. Bless you you lots of love ❤️

What do you do when it it hits you fully 2 years later. It’s been 8 years altogether but it didn’t hit me until year 2 because I was so focused on having a baby and getting through that first year and homelessness that once we got settled it hit me like train

“You woke up today and tried to take on the world with all that hurt ruminating inside… I’m so proud of you. That’s no small feat, it’s brave, courageous, beautiful. And every day you wake to meet the day - know that I am so incredibly happy you’re alive, that you’re here. You matter to me”
