The point of the interviews isn't necessarily to find the people with the greatest level of skill. if you look at Google they literally hired the people that invented c and they scoffed at their standards to pass coding tests to commit code. The point of interviews is to find engineers that will do what they're told no matter how ridiculous it is or tedious it is or how many hours you have to spend outside of work to do it

Mannn i only ever learned like 10 leetcodes. Im a literal SWE but if I had to do LCs right now I’d be screwed. It sucks how much our interviews don’t match our work
