Btw - There is no absolute numerical cutoff or minimum/maximum cervical dilation requirement for receiving an epidural. While many facilities prefer placement earlier in active labor, an epidural can technically be administered at 10cm dilation if the baby is not descending rapidly! My baby was happy and coping well ♥️

Your not allowed an epidural at 10cms , it has to be before 8cms , think the pain confused you maybe ? It also goes into the nerve next to your spine.
