I disagree with the “one page resume” trope. If there is enough relevant information then you are allowed to breach to the second page. I also prefer instead of listing “skills” that it states “key competencies”. Also, please throw your education and certifications at the end of the resume not at the beginning.

I’m not looking for work right now, but if I stay with my current company for another three years, I won’t have to list any other jobs on my resume. So thank you for letting me know that I only need to include the last 10 years of employment history.

didn't it come out that companies were using an ai company to auto reject people and if you rejected from one position you'd automatically be rejected from other positions because the ai would keep a score of your resume

I was reviewing resumes last week for a nurse. She had a Skills section with 50 bullets!! Listed things like “photography, math, cooking” 🙄

We are hiring an infrastructure engineer for the IT team I work on, and we’ve had about 400 resumes, so many of them are double spaced 3.5 pages long, not even a whole page. I’ve been trying to ignore it but it’s still bugging me, and not a small number of them still have the AI prompts left at the bottom because they didn’t even bother looking at the resume before submitting it.

I haven’t had to apply for a job since the early 1990s. Everything you’re saying is wrong with the resume is exactly what we were supposed to do back then. Times have really changed. 😂😂

I had so many people apply for jobs who had literally so many jobs in a single year. There was one girl that sticks out because she had 10 jobs in a single year, all different fields, all less than a month long. Tell me you aren't a good employee/coworker without telling me you aren't a good employee/coworker.
