i agree abortion is a vile thing but they both terrible things that people need to dehumanize a group of people in order to justify their actions. it doesn't need to be a perfect comparison. Slavery is the only thing in American history the average person would understand when it comes to abolishing a terrible thing so the comparison is used to make it easier to understand why abortion is also wrong if not worse

I’m sure you have video on it but I couldn’t find it. I have been debating with a friend who is agnostic and he doesn’t understand why god allows evil in the world and allows bad things to happen if he is all good. I was lost for and argument as I’m not at Biblically inclined as I should be

The comparison is done when pro-ABs cite that AB is moral because it’s legal. The appeal to legality. We say slavery was legal but objectively immoral. Thats the comparison - AB may be legal but it’s still objectively immoral.

Slavery was a systemic system that forced viable humans to a life on indentured service against their will. Women aren’t systematically forced to have abortions. If you wanna equate a fetus to that as a viable human outside of the womb. Then I want life insurance, social security cards and tax credits for all my fertilized embryos.
