I no longer want to be a Transit Operator. It put such a bad taste in my mouth ... my mental can't handle it any longer ... passengers get on and disrespect you, cuss you out, threaten your livelihood, mad at you like you're the last driver that passed them up while you're showing on TIME ... I thank God that I walked away with no customer complaints or injuries because I was out there cussing them out like we was in them STREETS

Preach, as a operator our job is mental everyday is a challenge, we deal with so much we don’t just drive the bus. We take on different personalities, drug users , alcoholic ect. We also have to deal with disbatch on top of what we go through out there everything is our fault. We still show up and do our job to the best of our ability. I do this for the passengers who appreciate and understand I love what I do.

What the general public may not understand is that transit operators manage far more than simply operating a coach. We serve the public while adhering to strict safety protocols, operating procedures, schedules, and agency policies. We also deal with service disruptions, coach defects and breakdowns, challenging passenger interactions, workplace pressures, and the responsibilities of our personal lives outside of the job. Transit operators carry a tremendous amount of responsibility, and sometimes it feels like the respect for what we do simply isn’t there. Let alone losing your job from a false customer complaint

many answers but NATIONWIDE fare payment should be the norm STOP ASKING for free rides but never in any other establishment does one ask for a courtesy pair of shoes clothes or food THEY PAY WITH NO EXCUSES. TEAM OPERATOR

I’m a veteran of 20 yrs and we were told to stay in our seats.. I’m retired 14 yrs I always said if someone ever tried to come and take me out that’s the day I won’t have a problem turning in that badge… when it comes to me and them I chose me everyday. I was prepared already for the outcome and I was ok with it. Fortunately for me and them I never had to ever make that choice.
