If you look at other countries with low to no age limits the kids are really responsible and prepared.

Legal drinking age is 18 here in Australia and most parents let them start at 16 but supervised

id have done the same. rather in a safe place first, take it slow and do it right. and with people who will be there for you. rather than go crazy as legal teens do.

in my family you start getting wine at family celebrations when your 14-15. not alot, just a small tating glass and you can request the wine tipe. almost everyone chooses red then realizes their mistake and switch lol. when we hit 17 we are allowed to try hard liquor in small amounts and in the presence of family. when you get to drinking age, which is 19, you get a whole ass party and you are alowed to get as sloshed as you want. after that you are free to fly. no one in my family ever became alcoholic becuse we get to the point where we know what we like, dont like, how much we can handle and how much it SUCKS in the morning. the novelty wares off. we get used to telling people "no". we also find out how fun it is to be the sober ones at parties and have all the receipts.
