My moms back doctor made her wait for like an hour and a half in some kind of chairs that are notoriously awful if you have a bad back. He said something that pissed her off and she lost it yelling at him about how stupid it was to have chairs like that for people who have bad backs. Next time she went there was an entirely new set of chairs 😂

Everyone coming up with their own reasoning but the main reason is so hospitals can’t be used as a haven for homeless. A hospital is 24 hours, cooled and heated. They don’t want loitering so they have smaller furniture to prevent someone laying out and sleeping.

I just sat in the ER for 3 hours waiting to get bloodwork done bc I have severe mastitis in my left boob. I left. I’ll go somewhere else tm. Been dealing with it for 2 days now. I only have a 102 fever and red streaks and body pains and such.

This is for disinfecting purposes. Bigger cushions mean more crevices for nasty things to go in. Also you know how many people who end up having bedbug wait in waiting rooms for hours? You don’t want something they can easily live in and move in with you

no this is serious. i'm not allowed to lie on the floor, but i physically cannot sit upright for more than a couple minutes and i also physically cannot lie down on those awful chairs. even the couches are too short.

I physically can't sit up straight for long periods of time or I'll be in pain and feel faint, and yet they want me sitting in these stupid chairs for hours like what😭 one time I couldn't handle it anymore and had to sit on the floor 🙃
