when i was in summer camp at 14, i bought a cheesecake donut and kept it on my desk bc i was saving it for later. at the end of the camp, i felt too shy to go to the ending celebration, so i stayed in my room and chose to eat the donut then. i was dumb and didn’t realize cheesecake needed to be refrigerated, so it tasted horrible and i threw it away. i had wasted the donut and the night by not going to the party. i had waited for the perfect moment and it never came
