Dr. Paul Zeizel gave jurors an in-depth description of psychosis and the symptoms associated with it during his testimony for the defense in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial on Tuesday. Zeizel said people suffering from psychosis can experience auditory hallucinations — and sometimes malevolent voices like the one Lindsay Clancy says told her to kill her three kids. Prosecutors have stressed the fact that Clancy never reported hearing voices to her mental health providers before the killings as they cast doubt on her claim that a male voice commanded her to kill them.
