my ex-wife did the same to all our 3 daughters. saving their money from a young age banking through their school.. their birthday and pocket money. I could do anything. only the girls could take her to small claims court. they chose not too as it was their mother. pnly thing I could do was to pay the children the money she got from the sale of the motor bike she sold to her junky friends. I gave her 24 hours to put the money into the girls account or police were going to be involved. she had to pay twice as much for what she got for the bikes as she sold them cheap to her friends. I told her if she didn't ill take her to court for theft and her friends would be charged with receiving stolen goods.

The mother closed the account for sure. Possibly in revenge of her daughter choices to move out and become severed from the family. I’m in my 70’s and remember if I withdrew large amounts of money. I understand that JJ can’t rule in this case with no concrete proof however I believe the daughter. She’s self reliant and appears to be organized with her choices. Too bad for her. The mother is a liar

Go look for a 1099 issued in the year that CD was cashed out AND taxes Mom filed for that reporting year. if she claimed it she knew.
