This occurs because of power overloads. The grid needs to be updated. We used to get that a great deal however Evergy is updating transformers and power lines daily. Maintenance is key.

Yess i been in glen park for 6 years and out those 6 years we had a hard full of time our electricity went out this years since may it at least 10 times and still charging me close to 500

power goes off in gary every summer for me . usually comes back on 2 to 4 hrs. 24 hrs b4. I been keeping a generator and a window ac unit for ten yrs now.

the pop you hear is a fuse blowing. when there is excessive load or a short in the line the fuse link explodes and disconnects the power, just like in your house or car. it just sounds worse because it's thousands of volts

I just said this and it’s not the first time that it’s been out this long either it’s been out before and they got into with the people and it was the workers and not the people it’s time so they sent other people from down south and the issues was solved but it seems like it’s just patch work they sent people from Kentucky

I lived there and in the early 2000s we was without power for weeks but it wasn’t the whole city moved there in 1999

When i bought my family home in 1986 in Glen Park EVERY spring and summer we had very regular power outages,... it wasnt until the late 90s that they replaced the transformer in my alley, now the power blinks off and on before it goes out and theyre faster to get the power back on... but from 86 to 2026 every year we've had an outage... 06 was the longest it was out for days just like now
