kids nowadays cant even read it should be mandatory boarding school year round 60 hours of school per week. How else will the new generation fill jobs?

Does that mean homeowners property taxes are going to be less school part percentage. Teachers are not going to work schools are not open till then. Domino effect is good for all homeowners

Omgosh this ain’t true I started this week and plus as a student I know some kids who don’t even know how to read, and I’m in middle school. The Texas school board is unreasonable and stupid.

Not a terrible idea! But what else comes with it? Parents struggle with child care and food costs during the summer months. Offering a meal a day in summer in the districts still doesn’t help because of many parents struggling with transportation…etc

August is one of the hottest months of the year in Texas. For some kids, being at school may actually be better than being home all day, especially if their family doesn’t have working A/C. It’s definitely something to consider before assuming September is the better option.
