Tax accountant here. I regularly do tax returns for people that have a multimillion $ net worth, but owe no taxes. I agree. My beliefs for social security is that instead of a cap, the first $80k should not be taxed and there should be no cap. We would have social security forever if we did this.

As a former republican, I agree. What started radicalizing me? Tax policy. I went to law school. I got an MBA in finance and economics. Then I worked in corporate restructuring for a decade. Math radicalize me.

Not all Republican ideals are terrible, not all Democratic ideals are perfect, but the line for me has been shoved so hard to the left due to human rights issues. You can promise me the world, but I will not take it at the cost of my humanity. If we spent less money killing each other, and more money educating everyone, we could all be prosperous.
