its insane to me that you took the engine out. I would have had the water pump out and in and filling the coolant back up before you took the engine down.

So much extra work! No need to drop it out, and then just more stuff to go wrong or to forget! Also you have to perform an alignment. You can do a fantastic drop in-vehicle as well

For a heads up you don’t even have to take the phases off you can 45 angle the chain and it comes out.

Yea I’d go somewhere else. My mechanic did it in one day WITHOUT taking the engine out. Lasted 125k miles until it was in an accident..

Probably could’ve paid for a primary timing chain for the extra time/ cost for suspension hardware if dropping the powertrain when it’s not required
