Please don’t take this as a how to. That engine still has metal in the bearings. It will have a short life. The correct way is to pull the engine and replace all the bearings and inspect cylinder walls and rings etc.

hopefully it's just a lifter. if a cam lobe has worn down that much, all that metal has gone through that engine.
