i used to be this way because i developed a defense mechanism after being raised by a narcissist who was always suspicious of me and accusatory. i had to unlearn that because i got tired of having nasty arguments that could’ve been easily resolved if i just took some accountability and tried to find understanding rather than be understood. if that makes sense.
