I agree. I had to go out of the country and every call my boyfriend kept telling me that he misses me dearly. He gave me an impression that he's miserable without me and guess what I did. I rearranged my plans and came back earlier only for this man to come see me after a whole week because he was busy😂

In my 20s to early 30s i used to stop my life and rearrange for a relationship. At the end of our relationship he said something like (i never asked you to stop living). I wa so hurt & from that day onwards i don’t rearrange for anyone including friends & family. Im 41 now & u stick to my own plans. Thank you for sharing

You’re absolutely right but it just feels like it’s drastic to treat all your next partners like that. How I see things as an outsider I stand to be corrected at that: 1. If you knew you wanted to do overtime I believe you could’ve told your partner so that he can make other arrangements ei get someone else to fetch him/ uber back home cause you have work and overtime is important to you. 2. He was wrong not to appreciate your efforts he could’ve told his friends your coming to fetch him. And yeah a good partner would’ve been more excited to spend time with you after a long trip like that. It was somewhat inconsiderate of him. I say this to say not every partner will be like him. You can still prioritize your partner but you can always take a step back when need be.

the SAME thing happened to me.I cried for a few minutes and decided this will never happen to me again...soo I drafted the text telling him exactly that he will neverrrrrr get that inch of time if that how they use it....when I tell you my life is at its best...he now exists in my world and my time not the other way round.😌😌
