I do this all the time! I didn’t know it was the Montessori way 🥰 my son is 4 and has NEVER once thrown a tantrum for not getting something in a store. It works!

There is an extra advantage of this method. It helps child to realise how quickly his wishes change. Helpful to start a conversation about difference beetwin wish and need and also that we really don’t have to owe everything.
