@creativesann: When I first visited Jordan, a school in a suburb asked me if I could paint a mural on their exterior wall. They had heard that I studied fine art for my bachelor’s, so I guess they thought I could do it 😅 The funny thing was, I had never done a mural before! And an exterior wall felt even more challenging because I knew nothing about the local weather such as humidity, temperature, seasonal changes, etc. But somehow I said, “Okay, I’ll try.” And they loved it so much. And honestly, I loved it too. After that, whenever I visited Jordan (usually twice a year for the next two or three years) I kept getting mural requests from local schools. Personally, it became such a rewarding experience, especially seeing how much the students and teachers loved the murals and hearing how excited they were about them. Then, when I came back to Korea, I got another message from a community in Jordan. A group of secondary school students wanted to make a mural and asked if I could guide them. So even though I was all the way back in Korea, we worked on it remotely. I guided them through the process, and they created the mural themselves. Looking back, that was actually my first experience with remote art project and it all started with me saying, “Okay, I’ll try.” 😂 #jordan #muralproject
