For UK and European Golden Retrievers, the cancer rates are much lower, sitting around 38%. It’s the American lines with higher rates of cancer. 👍

Here's the issue, a lot of crossbreeds are like this. There are exceptions like alaskan huskies which are purpose bred. But a lot of crossbreeds are just following trends and arent health testing or make sure the dogs have good temperaments 😭

I had a cocker spaniel and she had epilepsy from the age of 3 and died at 8 years old due to epilepsy medication which wore down the liver and kidneys. but she never had any eye or ear problems though!
