I think you guys are confused.. her shield is mental as in she uses her mind to control it not that it only affects her mental state. Jane causes PHYSICAL pain, and so did that lady with the electric field! Hence why it didn’t work because it stops from physical pain happening—not mental/emotional stuff! some of you have it backwards :))
