The journey continues down towards Canongate, where Edinburgh begins to feel a little quieter but every old doorway, close and weathered stone wall still carries a story. We then make our way towards the colourful curves and old shopfronts of Victoria Street, before taking in more of the narrow streets and hidden corners that make Edinburgh Old Town so special. There’s something about Edinburgh in the rain that feels completely right — the reflections on the cobbles, the grey Scottish sky, the warm lights behind old windows and that familiar feeling of history being all around you.
