@kelseyalfred: 🤍 week 5 hip replacement recovery update I just finished my first week on the steroid, and unfortunately, I’m still dealing with a lot of pain. 💔 I filmed myself walking so I could actually see what my gait looks like right now, and honestly… the limp is really bad. 😔 I’ve been trying to push through without my cane, but I think it’s time for me to start using it again. I’ve also gained around 10 pounds during this whole process, which has been really difficult emotionally on top of everything else. 💔 Between the pain, limited mobility, recovery, and now the weight gain, I’m just feeling really discouraged. But I’m trying to remind myself that recovery isn’t always linear. Using my cane and giving my body the support it needs right now doesn’t mean I’m going backward. I’m not sure if you mentioned in a different video, but have you had a xray or MRI since this pain. I’m wondering if you maybe tore a muscle or have a fracture. And don’t worry about your weight, you’ll deal with that later. I think you look great! Your makeup videos are amazing too.

I’m 3 month and half total hip replacement on my right and I still get pain while walking I’m still not completely pain free 😩😩😩😭😭😭

I’m week 5 and I used the walker for 3 weeks straight to make sure I was walking properly, now I’m using the cane. Maybe go back to using your walker for a while to help with walking straight, then use your cane
