As someone whose worked in inpatient healthcare facilities, what is offered to residents is ALMOST ALWAYS overstated. "Resident declined group today" can sometimes literally mean they chose not to sit in a circle and pass a beach ball back and forth with other residents while saying one word to describe how they feel that day. "Art therapy" can literally mean residents made macaroni necklaces. As if any of that is going to have a meaningful impact on a person's mental health. Our healthcare system is truly a joke.

I wish they would’ve mentioned how the hospital made it seem like she was getting full convos/evals every 15 min but Emily (in her video) said they were literally checking to make sure patients were alive every 15 min.

I understand him denying her due to her gap in work status there, however I wish the jury could have still heard her due to her breaking down how a work shift goes there. 20 minutes per patient is the limit per day per the hospitals policy, not enough time to form a beneficial relationship between staff and patients especially during short stays there. Forming a beneficial relationship between staff and patients is important in this field otherwise you can’t truly begin to have accurate evaluations and treatments. That is a HUGE red flag about her stay there and could have been beneficial for the jury to hear elaborated on.

She was totally irrelevant due to the fact that she was not there during this specific time. I think this was a mistake on big red, and he was just reaching in hopes that he could slide her in.

Unfortunately, her nervousness took the better off her. She had great intentions but she came out as unlikable so I think it’s better for the defense. The “yeah and yums” and the extra commentary was not suitable in this setting.

I didn’t think the judge would let her testify based on the fact the state doesn’t want to bring negative attention to a state run hospital. I think it was fair of him to allow the information she provided on staffing and the description of the programs.
