We lost a their year nurse - she died of an aneurysm getting recast for work . Her last words to her husband while she scrambled to get ready while her head was literally exploding were “ call my boss she’s going to be pissed I’m late “ our unit didn’t close and allow us to go to her funeral . The doctors she was so loyal and dedicated her life to didn’t attend her services

I am being laid off after 27 years with my company. I had to train my replacement. I have one week left and it’s already like I’m a ghost. Loyalty on the job is easily forgotten but loyalty to the people you love will be remembered when you’re long gone. Make memories and enjoy your personal life!

Exactly! Poeple need to understand that coworkers are not your friends! At the end of the day you are a simple number on a spreadsheet. The moment you are not needed, they let you go. It doesn’t matter if you were the first one to always arrive to the office and the last one to leave, etc. ENJOY your real family and take your vacation!

After my last job fired me after almost 18 years of working there for some minor issue that’s when I realize that I will never work as hard as I did for another company ever again I go to work. I’m on time every day. I do my job and I go home. I take my breaks. I use my vacation time. I use my PTO time. I even use my sick time for mental health days and that’s it. I don’t do anything that my job doesn’t require. I don’t do no more and I don’t do any less than what my job requires me to do. I do what I’m there for I get paid and I go home.

Not true if you are one of those coworkers or bosses that takes the time to teach and inspire. My husband passed and there were people who worked for him, some only a year or two, who reached out to let me know the difference he made in their lives.
