All this to avoid paying someone a wage to drive a car.

This could actually be a really good idea, but it’s a little wasteful to have separate motors and batteries and electronics for just two people. Maybe they could link a bunch of these little cabs together to share resources? And maybe to make it safer and easier, have them on their own dedicated lanes? Maybe you could even make it more efficient by just having these groups of cybercabs stop at specific places on a fixed route so you wouldn’t have to go to the hassle of hailing one—you could just go to the spot they show up at and get in. Here, I made a concept drawing of what this might be like.

Yea it’s def not good in parking lots and forks. But it’s pretty decent. It does need work and should have physical redundancy

With no way for a passenger to control the vehicle, does that mean Tesla is responsible for accidents?

I drive my friend's car with FSD all the time and it's 100% not ready. I have to babysit it constantly and I take back control at least once per session because it tries to pull a dangerous maneuver. It helps reduce your cognitive load while driving, but any driver that isn't vigilant and monitoring it closely are putting other people's lives in danger, let alone them deploying a fully autonomous car. This is going to get people killed.

At this point, if you step into a cybercan it's natural selection at work if you don't step out.

I'm pretty sure that the reason their accident rate is so low is due to the system turning off FSD just before an accident, thus making it so it didn't get into an accident with FSD. I bet the true number would make a lawyer foam at the mouth

Removing the steering wheel is wonderful. We know exactly who is at fault for the accident.
