Here's what most people do wrong. They open Codex and immediately say: “Build me an app.” So Codex has to figure out the architecture, choose the tech stack, run into problems, fix them, and basically reinvent everything from scratch. Instead, do this. Connect Codex to GitHub, which Codex can access through its integrations/plugin ecosystem, and tell it: Don't write any code yet. First, find the best open-source projects on GitHub that are similar to what I'm building. Study their architecture. See what problems they've already solved. Figure out what they did well. And what I should copy or avoid. Then have Codex create your architecture, MVP scope and development plan. Only then let it start coding.
