To add on, no one talks about how Hobie was a support for both Miles and Gwen, but his approach was different for each of them. Hobie knows that Gwen has been groomed by spider society, and he knows from his own verse that type of grooming isn’t undone in a few seconds. He asks Gwen questions to make her recognize her doubts and challenge Miguel, Jessica, and others. Also, he went to her verse and most likely went off on her dad, and gave her a device because he KNEW that Miguel was going to throw her away the minute she didn’t conform.

THANK YOU! people need to stop treating Gwen like an extension of miles and his development rather than an actual complex character with trauma (the hero gets the girl trope), a lot of the criticism for her is literally just internalized misogyny wrapped around a wrongdoing even though this whole franchise has shown us people worse than Gwen and more but as soon she prioritizes her needs which in return put miles in danger they want her head on a stake, they could never make me hate her

Now that I’m really thinking about it why is Peter B even in the spider society? He kinda has no reason to be there. Like yes he’s lived through all the terrible spiderman stuff and was told of the risks of the canon events existence, but I find it hard to believe he wouldn’t take Miles’ side anyways, especially considering what Miles has done for him and what he means to him.

I personally don't get the hate on Peter B Parker for helping Miguel. Peter has been with Miguel for a long time, he knows how terrible stuff can go if Miles actually manages to stop the canon event from happening, he was there when Miguel's dimension collapsed.

Havent finished the video yet but yes! Seeing everyone being so misogynistic and spiteful towards Gwen more than Miguel always baffles me because she's like what, 16-17? She's a teenager who had nowhere to go and her own dad let her down too. And then the other GROWN ADULTS, especially miguel, around her put all this pressure on her and expect her not to be conflicted over the whole thing which involves one of her CLOSEST friends
