Was it possible to hike down from the sides rather than the middle? It’s safe for you but ones at bottom would have suffered (hopefully no one was at the bottom)

We did this at new year on Sgurr Alasdair. The great stone chute. Was amazing.

Old school fell walker here! It makes me so sad watching this. I love that you guys are out enjoying it but encouraging rock slides is reckless and dangerous. When all the scree is gone the soil erosion increases and paths become unusable for future generations. Mountains naturally replenish the scree but not at that speed! I've loved the hills all my life and the way people use them now has changed for the worse. People seem to consume them instead of caring for them. The doctrine of 'leave no trace' is fading. I wish you well though, please stay safe.

Why would you walk down it? First it’s obviously not safe but the damage you caused is irreversible. What if there was a person at the bottom of the path, or an animal?
