It would sit roughly 50 metres from a 56-bed care home for people who are dying, and around 400 metres from Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Nearly 7,000 people have objected and there have been protests in the street. Police Scotland wrote into the planning consultation to say a great deal of public opposition is likely, and asked the developer to work with them to prevent unplanned incursions. Twenty-three of these are proposed across Scotland and together they would want more than one and a half times the power the country uses at peak demand. It is not approved.
