@metav3rse: Active Worlds feels less like a game now and more like a digital time capsule that somehow never got switched off. Most of what remains was built by users years ago, so wandering around can feel like exploring an old internet neighborhood. The strange part is that the servers still run, even though finding another active person inside can take a while. It is basically a piece of 1990s internet history that you can still walk through today.
