I have been “witchy” for nigh on forever, so when it became popular and then “daughters of the witches you couldn’t burn” became a slogan…I was like “that…that is not for me” because it’s weirdly arrogant and honestly downplays the suffering of the women who WERE ACTUALLY PERSECUTED.

I’ve wandered partway down a few pipelines and then gone “ope nvm 😳” As long as I keep getting a lot of women who *aren’t* white on my social media feeds I figure I’m staying in the sane zone. It helps that I have a healthy sense of the ridiculous so the “you have GOT to me kidding me, lmao” feeling usually hits before I get too far down the rabbit hole 😂 Also apparently my form of exvangelicalism leads to an “oh hell no, I ain’t doing *that* again” feeling about fundamentalism instead of “ah yes, this feels familiar and comfortable”
