About 12 months ago I was in a doomed relationship, dealing with a toxic manager at work and ultimately lost my ‘spark’. In a matter of weeks, the inevitable happened and I found myself single and unemployed within 48 hours (yep!) I was so scared and never in my life had I experienced loneliness like that before. I felt like I had zero purpose, couldn’t figure out what the whole point to this thing we called life was and ultimately didn’t want to be here anymore. It took me 8 weeks to sleep through the night again (despite taking sleeping tablets almost every night) and three months to find a job! I really couldn’t see myself being happy again. It didn’t happen overnight nor was it linear but overtime things got better. The saying is true: time heals all wounds. It’s taken longer than I’d like to admit but I finally feel like me again. But an even better version. I feel bloody FANTASTIC! My biggest take aways? What will be will be (there is a bigger picture to everything, you just don’t know it), the value of impermanence (enjoy the now, the rest will follow) AND the 3 month rule (nothing happens over time, give yourself three months to do anything and you will see results). If you took the time to read this, hey! Even if your darkest times, you are never alone. And to my pretty friends, I thank you for getting me through this time ❤️
