i don't play tennis, but can't the other play the ball to bottom right corner? the momentum and everything will make it difficult but why pass rally the ball tonthe opponent

I love your analysis! This is such an effective strategy because for many players the backhand is the weaker shot. And to counter, you must trust your inside out forehand which also means impeccable footwork.

imo important to note that carlos is taking a risk with the power on his shots because he risks going long but the power means casper has to let himself be pushed in order to get the ball at the right height to get it back; but because carlos has a lot of finesse he knows he can rely on a shot with that much power to still go where he wants it to. which is partly why casper is so on the back foot and is reacting rather than going on offense when the strategy is this apparent. carlos is able to manhandle him like this because he has the consistency and reliability to do this
