I wasn’t sure how to feel about a trans woman enrolling in an all women’s college. Only because those spaces had to be created because women were left out of them purposefully. A trans man friend of mine told me that that woman had given up their male privilege to live as a woman and I never had to think about it again. THEY GAVE UP THEIR MALE PRIVILEGE TO LIVE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

You know that neighborhood would be safe and loving and connecting. I’m like imagine the neighborhood from the Barbie movie. It’s not a whole who experienced womanhood the most competition, it’s a connection. We should be uplifting and supporting one another not arguing who knows it best.

yes yes yes. I love this! could not agree more. we need to support and uplift and welcome everyone into our neighborhood as Women. However -- I think my issue with Drew and her guest......is that they spoke about CIS Women in a generalized derogatory way. they also spoke about Trans women in a generalized way. they said Womenhood but then focused on words like "femininity" and the ability to be "soft". And when 1000s of women, including trans women, took offence to this generalization-- Drew told them they were essentially just bad people. it was just very disappointing that she didn't support others in her neighborhood.

I love this analogy so much. Reducing womanhood to our reproductive capacity is WHAT MEN AND THE PATRIARCHY DO. We are a neighborhood, a village, a community, with all our experiences and there is always room for one more woman.
